Caitlin Davis

Associate Clinical Social Worker (ASW)

Hello! I'm Caitlin (she/her).

I'm an associate clinical social worker offering individual telehealth therapy for adults (18+) in California.

People often reach out to me when they’re struggling to navigate life transitions, work or school-related stress, establishing boundaries, or are seeking support to shift patterns that no longer serve them.

I’m no different from the clients I see. I've been through both wonderful and difficult experiences that have shaped who I am and how I help. Therapy offered me a safe space to actually say what I was experiencing out loud for the first time, work through what I was feeling, and provided me with tools to cope that have greatly improved my life. I've carried that into my work and I am committed to guiding clients to where things feel manageable and joyful again.

My Background & Credentials

I earned my Masters in Social Work from Fordham University and received further clinical training at Jewish Family and Children's Services.

Before becoming a therapist, I worked in human resources for nearly a decade, which enriched my understanding of employee wellness and the importance of mental health support and advocacy.

I am a registered Associate Clinical Social Worker (#117419)  with the California Board of Behavioral Sciences. I am practicing under the supervision of Suzanne M. Adams, PhD (PSY29244).

A Bit About Me

Choosing a therapist can feel overwhelming and vulnerable. And, it can be challenging to get a sense of a person from an online profile! I recognize that when seeking a therapist it can also be helpful to learn a bit about the human and not just the professional info. With that in mind, here's a little about me:

I grew up in a seaside town just north of Boston, MA and moved to San Francisco over ten years ago. Being outside and near any body of water is very important to me! I love movies -- I studied film in college and still volunteer at and/or attend film festivals when I can. Theater kid at heart, amateur home-cook, and obsessed with pretty much all animals. :)

Individual Therapy: $145 for 50-minute teletherapy sessions.

I offer the possibility of a sliding scale agreement, available on a limited basis and based on financial difficulty.

I am not in-network with any insurance providers. However, I am able to provide a Superbill (aka: Invoice) that can be submitted to your insurance company to receive a reimbursement for a percentage of the cost of services as an out-of-network provider. For many people, this could cover up to 80% of the cost of services listed above.
